Urmston, Flixton and Davyhulme C.S.
Open Show, Sunday 19th. November, 2006

Mary was invited at short notice to judge the Rough Collies at this show. It was held at 'Mypetstop' in Denton, a relatively new venue. Only two classes had dogs entered, and Mary's critique of the class winners follows.

Junior Dog - Alcara Centurion at Newruff
'A 16 Months old, very well presented Sable dog, with pleasing bone structure. Correct length of stop, and good ear carriage when alert. Both walked and stood well when he wanted to. Slow to settle in the ring. Still hasn't got adult coat yet, but shows promise if he can adjust to ring conditions.'

Open Dog - Brimsan Shades of Gold
'A dog I have not seen before. 4 Years old, and an excellent example of a Shaded Sable, with a fantastic coat in just the right condition - and superbly presented. Good structure and carriage of head. Moved effortlessly round the ring, even though he didn't appear to be very keen on the floor surface of this venue. A worthy Best of Breed.'

Mary would like to thank the committee of the society for offering her this opportunity, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
